Symbolism is a beautiful mode of communication. You will find a combination of symbols from across the Indian sub continent in Madan Lal’s artwork; cubes, stylized human figures, eyes, tea pots and if you observe closely, beyond the naked eye, all these symbols have a profound explanation for their existence in everyday life and in his canvas. His artwork is a reflection of his journey, depicting the complexities of life, relationships and the human mind. In his art you will find numerous design elements, strong lines and biomorphic forms all interspersed in harmony.

“My paintings are a journey. It is almost a cycle of life. In my series ‘Where Seeds To Grow’, you will see that the canvas is replete with hidden meanings. You will find elements from my past, present and what I see in my future; you will find my soul and my mind. I live in a materialistic world and paint the metaphysical. For me painting is a journey that I experience and relish”.
